Childhood education

Childhood education, also called as Early Childhood Education (ECE) is an infant education program that relates to teaching children who are lower than 9 and starting from birth to age 2. Generally this is learning through playing program.

Children will start making differentiation between things through printed objects, pictures and toys. The child will learn more efficiently with other children. He or She will acquire more knowledge through activities he does with the other children around him or her.

This will be achieved also by using various types of child-play on a daily basis relatively to his age.

Parents are seen as child first teacher.

Childhood education is based on 5 main development skills:

- Physical

- Language

- Emotional

- Social

- Cognitive Skills.

PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT:

A child growing is developing biological and physical functions. This makes changes in body composition and height. Of course the child growth will be influenced by heredity.

There are other factors which will influence the child physical development like the nutrition's influence.

Childhood Education will have a main role on the regular exercise, because the regular exercise has an important influence on the physical development.

-LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT:

Child's language development is quite easy. If the child is well healthy, during the first year he will start mastering all sensitive words he will often hear. In their first 12 months, babies will have the need to talk and share ideas with others, like claiming food, expressing and understand feelings. This is why the childhood education centers give children objects shaped like alphabetic letters as one of their first game plays, sometimes they get emoticon books.

EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT:

This is a process for learning about how to deal with oneself and in dealing with others. Childhood Education centers will teach children how to recognize emotions and specially how to manage these feelings, like developing empathy and sympathy with one another.

SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT:

The social development is as similar as the emotion development. The differences it makes are just this is about being social.

-COGNITIVE SKILLS DEVELOPMENT:

From birth to adolescence the child will develop a learning capacity, the perceptual skills, conception skills, and a lot of aspects relating the brain development and cognitive. There a lot of theories which childhood education centers will follow to aim the children skills.
